After much consideration, i have decided that i would rather like to be a pastry chef rather than a head chef. I guess it because i like cooking sweets more than savoury food. I would like to set up a patisserie/cafe in the future instead of a restaurant!

title: Hazelnut Macarons
Recently i have been deciding whether i want to be a head chef or a pastry chef. Being a head chef, it can be more fulfilling whereas pastry chefs, you have more fun and it also gives you the chance to be creative.
Yesterday i made some hazelnut macarons. Yes, they are pronounced macarons. Not macaroons. So start saying it right. Well anyways i made tonnes of them. Around 50-60. I decided to make a pyramid of macarons. Hahaha doesn't it look good?
Also you people should try making some macarons yourself. Its really fun making it and you save tonnes making it at home.

title: Magret de Canard
Last friday it was my cousins birthday and we went to celebrate at
The little snail. I had the Paté Maison for entree. It was tough deciding what to have for the main. I wanted to try something unique so i chose the 'Magret de Canard'. Duck breast fillet with wok tossed spinach and a cassis and raspberry sauce. I was kind of intrigued by the combination of duck and raspberry. But when it came out, i tasted the sauce. It was pretty nice. Then i ate it with the duck. The flavours really complemented each other. The sauce was not really sweet but just a little to give it that punch. This dish has inspired me to try to prepare this dish. I have found a similar recipe to this but instead of raspberries, the recipe says to use blackcurrants. title: Trip to Adriano Zumbo's Lab
Today i got to go to one of Adriano Zumbo's patisserie! It was the Rozelle store near Balmain. For those of you who don't know who Adriano Zumbo is, he is the guy who made the croquembouche in masterchef. He is also the king of macarons!
Here are some photos i got to take at his lab.
I bought 6 Macarons for $13.80. 2 Raspberry shortbread, 2 Coffee Brulee, 2 Butterscotch Caramel. Hope they are worth it.

So recently i have been working on a crepe project. It is basically a crepe recipe along with other coloured fruit sauces or coulis'. You can choose your own sauce and accompany it with vanilla ice-cream and yoghurt! It will be uploaded to my recipes section.

title: Birthday
Well yesterday was my birthday. We had a lot of fun. No so fun when you get your bed broken... Yesterday i made a rack of lamb and macaroons with chocolate ganashe to serve to my friends. I didn't get to make the roast potatoes because my dad was already making baked potatoes. I have some pictures of the lamb i made! Doesn't it look pretty? Please comment if u guys want me to upload the recipe for the lamb.

title: ME BIRTHDAY!!
On Sunday it is my birthday! Im hosting a BBQ, but this is no ordinary BBQ because I WILL BE COOKING SOME FOOD! DAMN RIGHT! I will be cooking some but not all the food there.

Chocolate ganache macaroons
Also, like all my previous BBQ's my dad will be making his LEGEN... wait for it ... DARY chicken wings as well as other stuff.
